Our 10 week "Clinic" is a fun way to introduce young kids to the basics of volleyball! Kids at this level will begin to learn the foundational skills for successful volleyball in a fun and constructive manner. There will be no "official" teams or matches, although there will be skills specific games and informal matches. We will teach kids based on the underlying philosophy is that learning to do things right will ultimately produce right results. We want kids to learn to perform skills properly. The emphasis will be on learning proper technique and strategy over just winning in the short term. For volleyball the primary skills of emphasis in our will be: forearm passing, setting, hitting (including proper approach, jumping technique and swing) and overhand serving. The primary strategy emphasis will be on work to get a pass, set and hit as well as an understanding of the basic positional responsibilites.
